To enhance the Community Drug Drop Offs, Awake has purchased three  MedReturn Drug Collection Units.  Awake to A Safe and Healthy Community Coalition, has partnered with the Waterville and Whiteshouse Police Departments and the Monclova Township Administration to establish three  permanent MedReturn drug collection program in order to reduce the supply of drugs that can potentially harm teens and adults. Citizens looking to dispose of excess and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications can now visit one the safe and secure permanent drop off locations at: 

  • Waterville Police Department, 25 N. Second St, Waterville, Ohio
  • Whitehouse Police Department, 6925 Providence St., Whitehouse, Ohio
  • Monclova Township Administrative Bldg, 6335 Albon Rd., Monclova, Ohio

​​Properly disposing of excess drugs is everyone’s responsibility as a matter of public safety. More than 70 percent of young people abusing prescription pain relievers get them through friends or family, a statistic that includes raiding the family medicine cabinet.

The collection sites are open during regular business hours Monday thru Friday 8am-4:30pm Unused and unwanted prescription and over the counter medications, in pill form can be dropped off with no questions asked.  Liquids and gels are NOT accepted.
